The Uganda Wildlife Authority is happy to announce that the mountain gorilla family that had crossed to the Rwandan Volcanoes is back in Mgahinga National park. This is after a prolonged 3 years’ disappearance of the only habituated gorilla family which had crossed to Rwanda Pac des Volcanos which is also home to these endangered mountain Gorillas.
The habituated Mgahinga family of Nyakagezi had reduced from 11 in number to seven gorillas. As more of the gorilla will cross back to Mgahinga National park, this will increase on Uganda’s tourism in flow given the fact that Gorilla tracking is one of the unight tourism highlight that Uganda has and hence tourism development.
